Our travel wish list

Birds of Loreto

When Reg retired we made a travel wish list.  And not surprisingly Joan’s wish list is a bit different!  We’ll have to resolve this somehow….:)

Reg’s travel list:

1. Australia- for the third time….enjoy this country very much

2. New Zealand

3. beach on a Polynesian Island

4. Nascar Plains

5. Galapagos

6. Machu Picchu

Joan’s travel list:

1. Morocco

2. Egypt – would love to study about the country then travel there

3. Scotland – roots trips

4. Ireland – more roots trips

5. New Zealand

6. Go back to Australia for the 3rd time!

7. Newfoundland

8.  Various places around South America

9.  Italy again

10.  Galapagos

11. Mauritius

12. St. Lucia

13. Places in Africa and Asia…..

Pier Loreto

Our daughter’s list: (she was looking over our shoulders when we were creating our wish lists).

1.anywhere in Europe!  Pompeii, Sicily, Coliseum in Rome.

2. Anywhere there are volcanoes – a geologist by career, she would love to study volcanoes (her parents are less than enthused about this!)

3.  Taj Mahal

4.  Australia again – she recently returned from an eight month work/pleasure trip to this country.  Despite putting 17,500 km on her car traveling the country, she wants to go back and finish the loop.

5. New Zealand

6.  Chilkoot Trail, Yukon

It must be in the genes.  Our son and his wife love to travel too.  In the last couple of years they’ve been to Europe, Hongkong, China and Mexico!

As you can see, we are a traveling family.  Travel broadens the mind and is so much fun.

When we both retire we want to go to a country for three months, rent an apartment or little house and live there like the locals.  We are considering house swaps as another fun way to experience a country.
