Kananaskis Lakes about an hour from home
We’ve been asked what we do when we aren’t travelling….
We like hiking, camping, skiing and enjoying the mountains. When we aren’t doing that we have our various hobbies.
Reg is retired and keeps busy with wood turning. He is developing a blog called Luxewood to feature some of his work. Joan loves genealogy and blogs about her findings and challenges at Luxegen Genealogy and Family History. She spends a lot of her non-work time searching for long lost ancestors and enjoys the genealogy community online. She also plays soccer with a great bunch of gals in a ‘mature’ soccer division (over 35 years so not that mature!). Her team name is the best: THE COUGARS! 
We both volunteer a lot with Toastmasters, an organization that teaches effective communication and leadership. Our home club is Bedstone Olympics Toastmasters. We also belong to an Advanced Toastmasters club specializing in humor, Wit Pleasure. One of these days Joan will learn to be a funny speaker 
Joan does most of the blogging for Luxegen Travel Blog but Reg occasionally chips in with a suggestion or two.
